Dear vast readership of 3 or 4,
I decided it was time for me to share with you the top three original slash stories I've ever read. I read a lot of slash, but only rarely does a story stick in your mind and prompt you to reread. The best ones spend most of their time on the characters and their interaction with each other, and the world, instead of just jumping right into mad monkey sex. I don't have an issue with mad monkey sex of course, and these stories offer plenty of it, but in real life the best sex has hours or even days worth of anticipation and buildup, and the same applies to stories. This list excludes slash fiction based on preexisting fandoms such as Lord of the Rings or Pirates of the Caribbean.
All the following stories are NC-17, i.e. contain copious graphic description of man-on-man sex, and #1 and 2 also contain plenty of the old ultraviolence. Consider yourself WARNED.
3. London Calling by GioGio
The least kinky or violent of the stories, this series set in 1982 London reads more like a mainstream gay romance novel. Believable characters with very real conflicts. One aspect I really enjoyed was the ability of the author to use the sex scenes as a way to move the plot forward.
2. Special Forces by Vashtan and Marquesate
This series is still in editing stages, and being posted chapter by chapter. And oh, what chapters. Don't let the WIP status scare you away - there is a lot to read here already, and apparently, tons more to come. Two of the toughest of the tough collide in a battle of the titans. Unstoppable force, meet unmovable object. Rape, torture, interrogation, and constant threat of death are somehow managing to crystallize into a love story. Absolutely delicious for those of us who like it (extremely) rough.

1. The Administration by Manna
Set in a fascist, near-future, V-for-Vendetta type London. The sexiest black-uniformed sociopath you ever met, Val Toreth, and the lightning bolt in his life, Keir Warrick, a genius running his own corporation. Not only do they engage in some really heavy BDSM and mind games, they also grow and change as people and as a couple. There is a large cast of supporting characters, very well drawn, who really help to expand this series above and beyond the usual slash fiction.
It took me two weeks of reading this in my spare time to get through the series and when I finished I wanted nothing more than to start again at the beginning.
Hands down the best fiction I have ever read on the internet.
